I have been running numerous simulations for the upcoming expedition. I have had to revise my previous calculated prediction of our team succeeding of 14.7% down to 12.8%.

Perhaps there are other factors that I have not taken into account yet...

How am I disregarding life if I have taking everyone's survival into my calculations?

...maybe I am not understanding your calculations. You're very hard to read.

Jirou is very capable, despite his disorder. He isn't the hindrance people keep writing him off as.

If he is not a hinderance, then I do not understand the concern that he and his friends seem to have for this situation.

Because his skills don't include killing crawlers. He's much better at controlling things behind the scenes.

Given the nature of our directives, I'm not sure what the argument you're trying to make is.

...maybe he can stay at the entrance controlling a drone or something? I dunno.

You would need to talk to someone else about acquisitioning a drone. I believe they're quite tightly controlled.

What would he do when he is asleep at the entrance though? Being alone would make him easy food for sandworms and crawlers.

That is true, but I do think he would be more useful operating something other than fighting the crawlers himself.

He just needs to be stimulated to stay awake. I wish I had an easy answer for the sleep thing.

...Niou-san doesn't like me, so I would not be the person to ask.

He cannot stay awake for 2 weeks straight. Given the state that he was in mentally after 3 days awake, I don't think we can leave him alone safely. And therefore, he would be a risk if he was left sleeping alone.

Expeditions and suitable equipment for them is a separate matter from personal feelings towards other people.

Have you even met Niou?

Both Genichirou and Renji have said good things about him, and I trust their judgement.

Yeah, I'm sure he's great to people he likes.
