I have been running numerous simulations for the upcoming expedition. I have had to revise my previous calculated prediction of our team succeeding of 14.7% down to 12.8%.

Perhaps there are other factors that I have not taken into account yet...

Not at all. I find solace in putting numbers to the reality, regardless of what they may be and work with those expectations. Rather than your own tendency to sink into pessimism immediately.

A 12.8% chance does not mean it will fail, Mukahi. Simply that it is unlikely to meet all of the required parameters for success.

I have accounted for his required safety in my 12.8% calculation.

Then I would be unwilling to trial something like that on an expedition where you would be far away from medical intervention.

Just a little people skills pointer here, but if you've got bad numbers you should keep them to yourself. Or at least follow them up with some positive ones.

Ah, but if I followed it up with telling them that if Akutagawa Jirou's safety wasn't a concern then our success rate would go up to 82%, then that would likely not be taken well.

You're really bad at this. Like, it's not even funny.

Try something like, 'that said, we are aiming for a scenario where every member of the mission returns at at least 80% HP, and will prioritize the health of our party over 100 percenting the mission'.

I see. What percent completion of the directives would I base the second calculation off?
